'Foodbank Friday' is an aspect of our Harvest Festival celebrations that we are proud to be a part of at St John's. Our goal is not only to make a difference within our school walls but also in the lives of those beyond our community. We believe it is crucial for children to understand the significance of the broader concept of 'community'. St John's families donated generously, once again, with non-perishable food items and toiletries to the Cambridge Foodbank. This understanding extends to the local community surrounding them, as well as the national and international communities

As well as the upcoming 'Service of Thanksgiving for the life of Mr McComb' on 29 September at St John's College Chapel. 'Wooden Spoon' is a

We are thrilled to share the news that Ed Walker, an alumnus of SJCS, was awarded an MBE in the late Queen's Birthday Honours for his exceptional contributions in the field of homelessness. Ed's journey began in 2010 when he founded Hope into Action (HiA), a charity dedicated to addressing the plight of homelessness. HiA's unique approach involves acquiring properties and collaborating with local churches to provide supported housing for individuals experiencing homelessness. Ed and his wife initially used their personal savings to purchase HiA's first property. Since then, the

Mr Schilling, ably assisted by six of Haileybury’s 1st XI players, helped the girls work on slap hits, v-drags and passes, as well as

Beautiful sunshine heralded the start of the SJCS Michaelmas term on 7th September and our buddy system was in full swing as current children arrived early to ensure a warm welcome when their buddy walked through the gates. All new children had already enjoyed the 'Move Up' afternoon at the end of last term to get a feel for their new school environment and to meet their buddy; they also received a postcard from their buddy over the summer holidays in preparation for the start of term. All new children were invited to visit St John's the day before term started so they could get their
