Senior House Artwork 2022

St John's hosted its annual Senior House Art Exhibition on two days this year so the extensive artwork on display could be enjoyed either after school or during our Saturday Open Day. Every child in Senior House had at least one piece of work exhibited and there was a wide range of media used throughout the many projects undertaken throughout the year.

Artwork included both 2D and 3D pieces with notable references to having studied the styles of various artists within certain projects. Form 3's vibrant space models were hung from the ceiling and clay works, such as Form 4's treasure boxes, Form 5's ice-creams, Form 3's animal plaster casts and Form 6's plants and flowers plaster-casts were on display in the middle of Hinsley Hall and were surrounded by hundreds of 2D pieces.

One Form 3 child commented, 'I have never seen so much artwork and I am excited now about the type of projects I will do in the years to come. I can't wait to try the etching press.' A parent also said, 'It was lovely to have an opportunity during the Open Day when my child could show me their artwork and we had time to really look carefully at the impressive pieces of artwork and the range of styles exhibited.'
