St John’s had its whole school photograph on 12 May and this is the first time the School has been able to come together as a whole school community since the pandemic. The 'blaze' of red all coming together was a sight to behold.
Children in Kindergarten right the way through to Form 6, nearly 470 young people and many for the first time, joined forces on the St John’s College Playing Fields for the event, on this sunny afternoon. The youngest pupils sat on the floor at the front and the rest of the school were positioned in height order on the stands.

One T1 child remarked, ‘I have never been to a big school photo before and I have never seen so many big children and they had to go on stands really high. It looked like they were almost in the clouds.’ Another older child said, ‘I liked the way we were not always with children in our year groups so we could have a chat with those next to us while we were waiting for everyone to get into position. I made new friends!’
