T2s have been creating beautiful nature mandalas & have been looking for signs of #spring. For the pink blossom: 'I mixed orange & blue paint to make brown for the tree. The blossom is made using bubble wrap dipped in pink paint for the petals. Also illuminated letters & poems. https://t.co/xi5ZjelfZS

The American #artist Georgia O'Keeffe is best known for her close-up, or large-scale flower paintings. She made about 200 paintings of flowers of the more than 2,000 paintings that she made over her career. F2 found out how #Matisse made his cut outs. The cut-outs were created in distinct phases. The raw materials paper & gouache were combined, studio assistants painted sheets of paper with gouache. Matisse then cut shapes from these painted papers & arranged them into compositions. https://t.co/YHU29UOJqh

During Book Week, our T2s started making 'book nooks'. These are crafty creations that live among the novels on your shelf.
