Parents and pupils alike were enchanted by T1’s rendition of their drama production, Christmas with the Aliens. This humorous modern nativity by Nikki Lewis retells the traditional Christmas story to some alien visitors who become stranded on earth and meet a group of schoolchildren rehearsing their Christmas play.

Invited to watch, the aliens discover an amazing story they want the whole universe to hear. But will the aliens be able to mend their spaceship and travel back to outer space whilst also learning what the true meaning of Christmas is along the way. T1's nativity was a spectacle of colour, music and improvised dancing with some wonderful moments of comic timing. The performance also required the T1s to create moments of suspension of disbelief as the snowman 'flew' across the land and into the distant night sky.

The play provided a variety of roles for the children to inhabit and they responded to the challenges with enthusiasm and commitment. The on-stage action was interwoven with songs and dancing, carried off with notable confidence. Anyone who saw Christmas with the Aliens will agree that the final performance really left the stage as the children threw themselves into the story, with many pupils even improvising new lines and actions. One member of the audience said, “The children were all so engaged and delivered their lines with huge enthusiasm and confidence.” A member of T1 commented, “We even added two moments of mindfulness in our nativity for the parents to spot! I liked it when we looked far into the night sky to show the audience that the snowman had flown away.”
