Chorister Easter Tour to Sweden and Denmark

Body

Our Choristers enjoyed a wonderful and enriching tour to Sweden and Denmark over Easter, combining high‑quality music making with cultural discovery, friendship and shared adventures.

The tour began in Stockholm, where the children quickly settled into their hotel before enjoying an Italian supper and a relaxed evening walk around the city. The following day started with sightseeing, including spectacular views across Stockholm, before an afternoon of focused rehearsals. The day culminated in a beautiful concert in Stockholm Cathedral, which was thoroughly enjoyed by performers and audience alike. Supper featured traditional Swedish meatballs, followed by ice cream on the walk back to the hotel.

After a scenic walk through Stockholm and lunch in the old town, the group travelled on to Herning, Denmark. Despite some rainy weather, spirits remained high. The Choristers took part in a workshop with local children and gave a short performance, followed by energetic games with the gentlemen choristers. Later that day, they rehearsed and sang a moving evensong in Herning Church, returning the following evening for a memorable joint concert with the Herning Boys’ Choir.

Alongside rehearsals and performances, there was time for rest and relaxation, including games, films and some well‑earned snacks. One of the most eagerly anticipated highlights of the tour was a visit to Lego House in Billund, where the children spent several happy hours exploring the different zones before flying back to Stockholm.

Back in Sweden, the Choristers enjoyed a more relaxed pace, visiting the Vasa Museum and the much‑loved ABBA Museum. A concert in Uppsala, warmly supported by families, was another highlight, before the tour concluded with a final and joyful concert in Örebro.

It has been a truly memorable tour, filled with exceptional music, cultural experiences and lasting memories for all involved.
