Body

'Passion, Integrity, Teamwork, Fun'. Our SH children heard about the incredible work of the charity 'Wooden Spoon' in Assembly. This children's charity of rugby envisions equal opportunities for every child & young person, regardless of their background, through the power of rugby.

Over £8,000 has been raised by St John's families and its community since the untimely passing of our late Director of Sport, Gareth McComb, in June this year. As well as the upcoming 'Service of Thanksgiving for the life of Mr McComb' on 29 September at St John's College Chapel.

'Wooden Spoon' is a grant-making charity that funds life-changing projects across the UK & Ireland. The goal is to ensure that every penny is invested back into local communities. In the past year alone, 'Wooden Spoon' supported 43 charitable projects, positively impacting over 100,000 vulnerable children & young people.
