Our Piazza was buzzing with joy as the Parents’ Association hosted a heartwarming Children’s Tea Party at Senior House. From the first hook of Hook-a-Duck to the final bite of sushi, the afternoon was filled with laughter, games, and a feast fit for a fête—thanks to a generous spread of cakes, sausage rolls, scones, and more. The classics like Splat the Rat made a welcome return, much to the delight of young (and not-so-young!) guests. After the merriment, families gathered for a moment of quiet reflection and beauty at Evensong in St John’s College Chapel, where our Choristers sang with breathtaking clarity and poise. Their voices lifted the evening, offering a moving and memorable close to a perfect day.
Thank you for such a lovely evening, how lucky we are to be at a choral school!
After the festivities, children and parents joined our Choristers for a walk through the beautiful grounds of St John’s College, culminating in a moving Evensong service in St John's College Chapel. It was a wonderful evening of community and celebration in honour of our Choristers.
I loved going to Chapel and joining in with the singing.
We are thrilled to share that the event raised nearly £200 for the Parents' Association’s chosen charities: Home-Start Cambridgeshire and Castle School Cambridge. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making the evening so special.
