Form 2's Action Packed Adventure: Trip to Grafham Water 2025

Body

Form 2 enjoyed an unforgettable day of adventure and discovery at Grafham Water, packed with exciting activities and new experiences.

I loved doing the canoeing because it was so fun to do the games in the middle of the lake.

The day began with an energetic canoeing session, where children raced across the water in teams before taking the chance to paddle in the reservoir. Their enthusiasm continued onshore, where they explored the shoreline searching for fossils, uncovering ancient crinoids and sparking curiosity about the natural world.

After lunch, the group took some time to unwind at the play park, tackling mini assault courses. This moment of relaxation was well-earned before the afternoon activities.

We had to keep persevering in pioneering because, when we were carrying the bridge to the lava pit, the barrels kept on falling out off the bridge.

Next came the mountain biking track, where children zipped around with energy and confidence. Many impressed their peers with their speed, control and stamina—and, for some, it was an especially memorable milestone as they rode without stabilisers for the first time.

Pioneering put both physical strength and teamwork to the test. In groups, the children were tasked with building a bridge under tight time constraints. Success depended not only on creativity and construction but also on collaboration—learning to listen, share ideas, and work as one team.

As the coach journeyed back to school, a few tired but happy children nodded off—clear proof of a day well spent.

We are incredibly proud of all the pupils in Form 2 for embracing each challenge, learning new skills, and showing such fantastic teamwork. It truly was a day to remember!
