The Boarding House was brimming with warmth, generosity, and the irresistible scent of home-baked treats as the SJCS Parents’ Association hosted another memorable Macmillan Coffee Morning in support of cancer care.
From the moment the doors opened, guests were greeted by a stunning spread of cakes, biscuits, and bakes which had all been lovingly prepared and donated by our wider school community. The tables were a testament to the creativity and kindness of our families, with everything from gooey brownies to delicate lemon drizzle slices tempting attendees to indulge for a good cause.
Parents, staff, and families gathered in cheerful conversation, united by a shared purpose: to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. The atmosphere was one of joy and connection, with the Boarding House transformed into a hub of community spirit.
Adding a dash of excitement to the morning was a lively raffle, featuring an array of generous prizes including bottles of wine and prosecco, luxury skincare and perfume, family games, and boxes of chocolates. The raffle drew enthusiastic participation and helped boost the fundraising total.
The first Parents' Association event of the year raised an incredible £663 and the total continues to rise, with more delicious bakes being sold after school. Every pound raised will help Macmillan provide vital support to those affected by cancer.
A heartfelt thank you to our amazing Parents’ Association for organising such a thoughtful and successful event, and to every member of our SJCS community who baked, donated, attended, and supported.
