Fourth Former Sings for the Queen in "The Diamond Choir"

Thrilled Fourth Form pupil and member of the National Youth Choir, Clara Foo, was one of 40 children chosen out of 400 boys and girls aged 10 to 13 from across the country to sing for the Queen as part of the Diamond Jubilee Service at St Paul’s Cathedral in London.

Broadcast live on television, the children performed a specially commissioned piece, “The Call of Wisdom”, with words by Michael Hampel, Precentor of St Paul's and music from British composer Will Todd.

The honour is still sinking in for Clara who exclaimed, “After the event I watched the replay of me in the service and I sort of realised only then that this is real because it all felt like a dream with me singing to the Queen and meeting her.”
