New Byron House Classrooms

Body

Children in years 1 to 4 started the new academic year in bright new classrooms.  The internal building works of the interior spaces at Byron House, home to Reception to Year 4, were completed during the Summer holidays with the delivery of six completely redesigned classrooms and a large learning space for child-initiated learning and digital learning.  The works follow last year's successful delivery of much enlarged Kindergarten classrooms and a new outdoor play space.

Bright and full of light, the new rooms are fitted with bespoke, streamlined storage, including whiteboard surfaces on the cupboard doors for displays and learning and new pale wood furniture and flooring. The four new Year 1 and 2 classrooms on the ground floor have also been significantly enlarged.

The children have welcomed the changes with great excitement and one child commented, “You can write on the cupboards and some are magnetic too. My classroom feels so light and there is so much room”.
