Whitfield Waiters, open to children in Forms 1- 6, provides after school care within the Boarding House until 8:00pm Monday to Thursday and until 6:00pm on Fridays. It may be used on a permanent or occasional basis. The children form part of the Boarding House for the evening, having their prep supervised with other boarders and attending After School clubs and/or joining in with Boarding House activities. There is a set limit to the number of children that can make use of this facility.
The names of the children staying on any particular night needs to be confirmed in good time for both security and safety reasons and we ask you to inform us in advance if your child will not be using the facility on a particular night. Please let us know in advance if your child requires supper on any given day. Also, when you arrive to collect your child please call the Boarding House mobile (07885 202086) to ascertain where your child is located, please sign-out with a member of the Boarding House staff before departing with your child for the evening.
If your child is involved in an after-School club, he or she will be signed into the Boarding House once the Club has finished.

Weekly Whitfield Waiters
Parents wishing to book the same night of the week for the entire term can do so by completing and returning the online form or by contacting the Senior House Secretary (shoffice@sjcs.co.uk or 01223 353532). Places are allocated on a first come, first served basis and are limited to a maximum of 10 Whitfield Waiters pupils per evening. This facility must be booked on, or before, the first day of term and we cannot accept changes after that date. Weekly Whitfield Waiters is charged on the end of term bill at a fixed rate per child per night (please consult the Fees Schedule* for the current rate).
Occasional Whitfield Waiters
We do realise that domestic and work arrangements may make it desirable and/or necessary for parents to use the facility on occasions during the term (e.g. illness, unforeseen events) and bookings can be made via the Senior House Secretary (shoffice@sjcs.co.uk or 01223 353532) up to 4:00 pm on the day in question.
